I’m a former award-winning journalist, computer programmer, and financial advisor. I’m currently trying to make the world a better place by working with non-profit organizations to create and execute fundraising and marketing strategies.
I have completed nine marathons, including the Chicago Marathon, the Marine Corps Marathon (twice), and the Walt Disney World Marathon (four times). I have also finished 20 half marathons and many other shorter races. My next major event is the New York City Marathon on November 3, 2019. I used to host a podcast about running called the Team Shenanigans Podcast. I’m still not convinced that running isn’t stupid.
When I’m not training, I enjoy reading, writing, and baking and eating large cookies. Soft and chewy, not crunchy. I’m a fan of Walt Disney World, the New York Mets, the Buffalo Bills, peanut butter, and apple fritters. I ate expired salad dressing in 2016 and survived. Light blue cheese. It tasted fine.
I have bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Political Science from Syracuse University and an MBA with a concentration in Marketing from Rochester Institute of Technology. I live in Rochester, NY with my wife, daughter, and two cats.
